This is a short interview we conducted with Jalil Ganbarov, the creator of Dadagorgud.com | A marketplace to discover creative and innovative products from talented people. If you like this project and would like to vote for it, click here

1. Please, tell us a bit about yourself: where are you from and what is your background?

I am Jalil Ganbarov from Azerbaijan, Baku. I really enjoy involving in social and cultural activities and trying to do something beyond the borders. I also like developing creative economic models. I have recently developed a should cost model and won the TechnoFest competition. My desire to work in both areas led me to develop this platform which enables me to help others to get success, promote cultural identity and bring economic value.

2. Can you describe your idea or project in two sentences?

Dadagorgud.com is a marketplace to discover creative and innovative products from talented people. It helps to overcome society's gender stereotypes of women's involvement in art, supports talented people from rural areas and brings about a social change that will benefit all talented people within their communities.

3. How did you get your idea or concept?

I was born in Jalilabad, one of the districts of Azerbaijan where parents don't care about art and culture and don't support their children especially girls in involving in the art. The purpose of this marketplace to help those people to deliver their works to the world. Who knows, one of them could be the world popular artists and this is what makes our project alive.

4. What is unique about your idea/project and how does it benefit mankind?

Dadagorgud.com is the first platform designed as a home for creative and innovative stuff which can be introduced and purchased without the third link in the chain. We showcase incredible stuff from artists, designers, musicians and other talents and help them to improve their economic and social future We support them to build a sustainable business to make their livings and keep producing incredible stuff for all of us. To date, hundreds of creative stuff — big and small — have been registered in Dadagorgud.com. It helps to overcome society's gender stereotypes of women's involvement in art, supports talented people from rural areas and brings about a social change that will benefit all talented people within their communities.

5. Describe yourself as an entrepreneur in one sentence

I aim to bring an economic mindset to art and culture to make it a lucrative area for talented people among people in less developing countries.

6. How do you deal with people that doubt your abilities/initiatives?

I keep going and deliver, not because to show them that I can do, but because I believe in what I do.

7. Where does your passion lie?

Helping people to get successful!

8. What are you afraid of or what keeps you up at night?

Limits of the mindset of people. People, especially in less developing countries, do not open their brains to all possibilities.

9. According to you, money is a synonym for.....

A tool for trading which makes all goods and services exchangeable. It is not the money, but the thing from which money is coming from.

10. If you could rid the world of three things, what would they be?

Illiteracy, illiteracy, illiteracy

11. What are the benefits you take from the Entrepreneurship Campus?

Networking and many good, helpful advice.

12. What do you like more about the Entrepreneurship Campus?

It shows a pool of many wonderful examples how we can help to improve things around us.

13. Which idea/project do you like most?

All ideas/projects are very important and interesting in their regards.

Impressive. I really appreciate the fact that you got your idea from the environment you were born and raised.

Being a young person I am quite interested in creating the world, I desire to see and live. I believe that if all young persons have this mind, we will surely recreate the world because we are the future generation. If we recreate our world now, tomorrow will live in the world we desire and our children will see the world in a different perspective from what we are presently seeing and living.
