I am a lecturer at University of Nigeria, Nsukka but I have a private school business for entrepreneurship in my home town, Otukpo, Benue State, Nigeria. I have won some prizes and grants. I was a winner of the Nigerian Prize for Science (2006), May and Baker Prize (2009) and the World Academy of Science Prize (2019). I was an Alexander von Humboldt Fellow in Germany (1999), a Matsumae Fellow, Japan (2002) and a Royal Society Fellow (2006). I won a grant from the International Foundation for Science, Sweden (2002, 2004), Grant from the World Academy of Science (2004) and Royal Society of Chemistry (2004). I Coordinated a World Bank-assisted Project (2007-2013) and I was Vice Chancellor, University of Abuja (2014-2019).
