Seeking partnerships to support a community initiative that supports empowerment of Youth and women increase income, improve food security and create employment through Integrated cassava value chain in my Country following economic shock after Covid19. The project has already planted about 20 acreas of Narocast 1 out of the planned 1000 acres in 6 seasons, the cassava already planted will be ready for harvesting in October 2021. Average yield of cassava in Uganda is 5059 kg per acre. The high quality cassava flour currently fetches 6,000 Ugandan shillings. Therefore the current acres is estimated to fetch from High quality cassava flour (20x5059x6000) = 607,080,000. In addition, cassava cuttings are expected to raise revenue of 35, 000 per bag times 30 bags per acre this should give revenue of 21,000,000. Expected income in October 2021 is Ugx 628,080,000. The project plans to plant additional 1000 acres of cassava by 2023 with expected returns in 2022 of 15,702,000.000. ($4,312,650). The profits are expected to be 70 percent of the investment.
