Caroline is the founder and Director of Women In Sustainable Enterprises (www.wise-kenya.org) – a social enterprise that works towards empowering women through alternative sustainable enterprises. She is also a Managing partner at Winam Capital, an early stage venture capital firm that is working towards providing pre investment capital to MSMEs based in the Lake Basin region. She is part of the team behind The Business Fridays’ Kisumu.
Her work with women and youths in communities around Lake Victoria region has been recognized and featured in various media platforms both locally and internationally including; KTN, Saturday Nation, Lolwe TV, Deutchevelle (Global Ideas), Huffingpost and Be Bold Podcast.
Her recognitions and awards include; featuring in the list of 100 most positively Inspiring African youth in 2017. Top 40 under 40 women in Kenya 2018-Business Daily and the Kenya Diversity and Inclusion Gender Equality Champion as a 2nd Runners up 2019.
She is an alumnus of Mandela Washington Fellowship 2017 –Young African Leaders Initiative, at Rutgers State University of New Jersey, USA and a Professional Development Experience at the Women’s Campaign International Organization in Philadelphia. Also an alumnus of Akili Dada and Spark Kenya change makers. She Holds MBA in Strategic Management (University of Nairobi), Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and Diploma in Business Management (Kenya Institute of Management).
