Nelson Izah is a technophile, a software developer specializing in testing, website maintenance, and a tech support for small and large businesses. He is a YALI RLC Alumni, a youth advocator whose focus is aligned to the SDGs Goal 1, 8 and 11. He’s passionate in impacting lives through mentorship and teaching young people on how to leverage on technology and on self-development. He currently has 3 years of experience in web development and also over 4 years of experience focusing on youth development. He is the technical team lead at DoTheDream Youth Development Initiative. He’s currently volunteering as an in country volunteer for VSO ICS. He’s also the Team lead and CEO for Workload Nigeria, a startup that aims to be the hub for artisan across Africa. He worked previously as a junior back-end developer at Talent Base Nigeria. He has exuded great boldness and dynamism in advocating youth leadership and development and was instrumental to the successful launch of DoTheDream “#SayNoToBadLyrics” campaign held at the UNITED NATION INFORMATION CENTER (UNIC). He’s very passionate about building the capacity of young people to leverage on technology. He graduated from Aiyedere Ajibola Senior High School. He served as a mentor, code reviewer in the Google for Africa Scholarship where he mentored over 75 tech enthusiasts across the country and Africa. He’s also an ambassador for Strategy and Innovation for Development Initiative. (SI4DEV).
