It all started at the age 18 when i looked out the window from the bus i was in, enroute to work. A 13 years old male amputee was begging for alms and i was so touched with the sight but i could not help him then because i didnt have enough to give to the young boy. But in my heart i made a decision to help as much amputee as possible in Nigeria get very affordable prosthetic devices which will help them compete in the environment. 4 years later i found Techbionics ventures which is a healthcare startup working on recycling waste plastics into assistive devices and prosthetics for people with disabilities. With the impact i made i was offered facility support and training from General Electric Lagos Garage.I use GE 3D printers in making prosthettics for amputees. I got $10,000 grant from Tony Elumelu Foundation and $2,000 from Premierhub Innovations center and $2,000 donations from my family and friends. It has been a great Journey having impacted over 200 amputees in Nigeria and i just want to do more.
