PS: Do you have any pictures of the project site on hand? You can still upload three to your idea page. As the saying goes, "A picture tells a thousand words..."

Hi Zakayo,

Your idea to assist farmers is great! Last year, I launched a School Farm at Ban Wiang Wai School, and, this year, I went back there to further enhance its educational programme. I would like to stay in touch with you, especially because of your expertise in accounting. My partners at School Farm and LifeFilters2Go can only do basic accounting, and your knowledge would help us immensely. On the other hand, if there is anything we can do to help you with your project, we would be so happy to do so. Wishing you all the successes as you turn this idea into successful enterprise.

Best,

Kate Bradley

Dear Daniel,

I really like your idea for MySchoolBook, especially because of video illustrations. This multi-media approach can enrich education experience for Nigerian students. I agree with you about the importance of education for youths. Ive also been working on a project with Shan Womens Action Network, and we are publishing five Aesops Fables in English, Shan, and Thai languages. We are hoping to increase literacy amongst children of Shan refugees/migrant workers around Myanmar-Thai border. I would love to stay in touch with you and see how your idea moves from one stage to the next.

Best,

Kate Bradley

Hi Basma,

Its AWESOME to see that we are tackling the problem of water scarcity and contamination on different sides of the world! Last year, I installed five water filtration systems and turned them into free Water Fill-up Stations at Ban Wiang Wai School; however, the students, who received large water containers, found it difficult to carry them home! So I am now working on an idea to produce and sell hand-held ceramic water filters so that the students and their families can purify contaminated water from their water wells at home. Like you, I see clay as an important part of my solution to provide safe drinking water. I would really appreciate your thoughts on my water purification device. We should definitely try to stay in touch and share ideas as we turn our ideas into sustainable businesses.

Cheers,

Kate Bradley

Hi Daniel,

I am really impressed by your idea of the Water Web. Im afraid that I dont have much knowledge in engineering or anything high tech. I'm working on an age-old, low-tech device that is supposed to purify contaminated drinking water. It's so cool that we are taking different approaches but that we are trying to make the most of our natural resources, namely water. Wishing you all the successes as you turn this idea into sustainable business.

Cheers,

Kate Bradley

Hi Chinonso, thank you so much for your kind words! Do you happen to know anyone 'from your good old days' at your university who specialises in ceramic water filters? Or even water filtration systems? I wish I can offer you some help with your idea, but I am afraid that I don't have much experience with computer programming and software engineering! ;)

Hi Nawrath Minda,

Thank you so much for your feedback. I agree with you about the importance of being consistent. And, to answer your question, I do have some high (but hopefully not unrealistic) expectations. I have already done some preliminary research and completed a trial run of my idea. But I realise that I still have a lot left to do I need to test my product thoroughly because it needs to work! If the filters dont work as advertised, I will be putting peoples health at risk. So once the filter passes laboratory tests, my partners and I have to implement strict quality control as long as we run this business. And you? What are your expectations for Eco-Creative Photo Studio?

Sincerely,

Kate Bradley

@Team Parkner, @Rownak, @Henok, @TeamM3N, @Yeshwanth, and @Megan, thank you so much for commenting on my page and asking a question about my next steps... My plan is to acquire as much information as I can for the time being. I must continue to test the different raw materials and production methods in the ceramics studio under controlled conditions. I also need to filter contaminated and discoloured water with the different prototypes and test the results with Watersafe Drinking Water Test Kits (available for purchase on Amazon). Last but not least, before next summer, I must create the masterpiece and then send its filtered water samples to the labs. How about you? What are your next steps?
