Hi Samuel,

I'm just stopping to say that I applaud you for creating Tree-Planting Drones! Im afraid that I dont have much knowledge in engineering or anything high tech. I'm working on an age-old, low-tech device that is supposed to purify contaminated drinking water. It's so cool that we are taking different approaches but that we are trying to problems facing humanity worldwide. Wishing you all the successes as you turn this idea into sustainable business.

Cheers,

Hi Mohamed,

I like your idea of Environmental Paper Products. No matter where we are, we are surely facing the same problem of mounting plastic waste! I'm working on an idea that is supposed to solve the problems of unsafe drinking water and limited educational/vocational opportunities. It's so cool that we are tackling different issues but that we are trying to make this world a better place. Wishing you all the successes as you turn this idea into sustainable business.

Cheers,

Hi Jelila,

I enjoyed reading over our project, and it's cool to see that youre working on organic agriculture practices. Last year, I launched a School Farm at Ban Wiang Wai School, and, this year, I went back there to further enhance its educational programme. I would like to stay in touch with you, especially because of your expertise in this highly technical field of agroecological agriculture. The students, teachers, and I would be so honoured to learn as much as we can from you. Wishing you all the successes as you turn this idea into successful enterprise.

Cheers,

Hi Onyema,

I'm just stopping to say that I applaud you for High School Club of Entrepreneurs. I'm working on an idea that is supposed to solve the problems of unsafe drinking water and limited educational/vocational opportunities. It's so cool that we are taking different approaches but that we are trying to enhance education for youths. Wishing you all the successes as you turn this idea into sustainable business.

Hi Moki and Christine,

I enjoyed reading over our project, and it's cool to see that we are tackling the problem of water scarcity. Last year, I installed five water filtration systems and turned them into free Water Fill-up Stations at Ban Wiang Wai School; however, the students, who received large water containers, found it difficult to carry them home! So I am now working on an idea to produce and sell hand-held ceramic water filters so that the students and their families can purify contaminated water from their water wells at home. I would really appreciate your thoughts on my water purification device. Wishing you all the successes as you turn this idea into sustainable business.

Cheers,

Hi Neema,

I'm just stopping to say that I applaud you for tackling a number of issues simultaneously-waste, unemployment, and poverty-in such a novel way. I'm working on an idea that is supposed to solve the problems of unsafe drinking water and limited educational/vocational opportunities. It's so cool that we are taking different approaches but that we are trying to make this world a better place for everyone. Wishing you all the successes as you turn this idea into successful business. Go UPCYCLERS!

Hi Shadi,

I enjoyed reading over our project, and it's cool to see that we are working not only to make the most of limited resources but also to improve the lives of refugees. Although Shan peoples (crossing the Myanmar-Thai Border) are "classified" as migrant workers rather than refugees, they are also struggling with limited resources, namely safe drinking water. I am working on an idea to produce and sell hand-held ceramic water filters, and I would really appreciate your thoughts on my water purification device. Wishing you all the successes as you turn this idea into successful business.

Cheers,

Hi Theo Margazoglou,

I'd like to answer your questions regarding the effectiveness of LifeFilters2Go. According to a research project at Olin College of Engineering in Needham, U.S.A., the filters (made of clay and sawdust) could filter color out of dirty pond water and could filter 20 micron clay particles out of water. According to another research at Delft University of Technology in Delft, the Netherlands, filters with colloidal silver remove E-Coli more effectively than those without colloidal silver; nevertheless, "the achieved log removal is satisfactory for both filter types."

With that said, you're right! 99% purification is a big statement!! I should have worded it differently. After all, 99% refers ONLY to E-Coli!!! According to a dissertation by Anand Krishnan Plappally at the Ohio State University, clay ceramic filter was effective at removing protozoa, but not viruses such as MS2 Coliphages. Studies have been done on various in/organic materials to test whether or not they can remove pathogen, metals, dyes and other chemical such as sulfides, nitrates etc from water; however, I haven't read any articles on how ceramic filters work with nanoparticles. I definitely need to do more digging. Thank you for your feedback @Theo Margazoglou!

Sincerely,

Kate Bradley

Hi Andreea,

Thank you so much for visiting my page and leaving a comment. I've looked over yours, and I must say that the title of Idea is very eye-catching!!! But I am not sure if "the graduated sloth" reflects the active spirit of your business and organisation. Still, I am intrigued by your concept and branding. I wish you all the best as you move from the conceptual stage to the latter stages of this business startup.
