I am an environmental professional with a Master’s degree in Pollution Control from the Federal University of Technology, Owerri, Nigeria and a Bachelor’s degree in Botany from the University of Benin, Benin City, Nigeria. I am a member of the Environmental Law Research Institute (ELRI) and a member, Board of Trustees of the Initiative for Marine Conservation (IMC), a non-profit organisation that is committed to the conservation of the marine environment. I am also an alumnus of the African Management Initiative, Nairobi, Kenya, where I received world-class training in leadership and business management. I have an undying passion for the protection of the environment for sustainable development. I am motivated by the enormity of environmental problems plaguing the marine environment in my country, especially plastic pollution, as a result of human activities, and I want to contribute my quota to solving this problem. This venture is important to me because I am confident it will help to inspire actions that will help to reduce or prevent marine plastic pollution, which will ultimately lead to a healthy marine environment. In addition, I am a visionary leader with invaluable leadership and management skills which I have demonstrated on several projects. My meritorious achievements in scholarship, leadership, and citizenship have earned me an award of excellence from the Congressional Youth Leadership Council, Washington, D.C., USA.
