Raheemah Hafsah Pangarungan is one of the Co-founders of BioPhil and is the team leader of SaRanaw. Hafsah believes in the power of each to empower oneself and the community In shaa Allah.

At a young age, she has immersed herself in capacity development and in different fields both local and international.

She is an active youth leader, Social Entrepreneur, young multimedia journalist, literary writer and Public Speaker.She was the 2018 Student Head writer of MSU ISED Budyong and the current Editor in Chief of MSU MSHS Suwara. She is the youngest delegate and the lone qualifier of Lanao del Sur during the National Center for Women’s Resources 2019 Journalist Training. Also, she was trained by the renknowned Jeff Canoy of ABS CBN and was featured in the Mindanao Gold Star daily for her Mindanao theatrical performance as Scar of Lion King.

She is a National Essayist consistently representing BARMM. She recently won National and Regional Awards for Writing and Photography contests by UNFPA, FOI, CSC and Project Seasid. She was a Regional debater and the 2018 President of MSU ISED Debater’s Society. She wrote literary pieces published by different National Magazines and Media Platforms such as BFP, Empowering ME US Embassy and Duyog Marawi Magazine, and performed her Persuasive speeches and Spoken poetry as Champion in local arenas and the MSU radio station.

Aside from her endeavour in journalism and literature, she is an aspiring social entrepreneur and youth leader. Taking active roles in National youth organizations and their institution’s Student Parliament, Hafsah is an International delegate and National delegate in various Social Enterprise and Leadership Conventions. Having projects supported by the United Nations Development Program and the De la salle University of Manila, she is one of the International Filipino Delegates and Top Finalists of the YSE by Singapore International Foundation. Further, she lead the SaRanaw Team of Mindanao State University’s International Delegates for the Study Visit Program in TARUC, Malaysia. She was a Philippine Finalist of the 2019 CIMB Young ASEAN Leaders (CYAL) in Malaysia.

Today, she continues her endeavours as she and the team find ways to reach out amid Covid.
