INTERNATIONAL CAMPAIGN FOR THE YOUTH EMPLOYMENT DECADE
The International Campaign for the Youth Employment Decade is a public-private initiative launched in June 2013 by the Novia Salcedo Foundation. The Novia Salcedo Foundation is a civil organization based in Spain since 1980 with the aim of building bridges between young people and their first job. The Foundation, alongside the Spanish Government, work with the objective to generate an international movement of reflection, thought, debate, and action that provides ideas, content, and solutions for the lack of employment and quality employment that millions of youths are experiencing in hundreds of places across the world.
The final objective of this international campaign is “UN Youth Employment Decade” proclaimed by the United Nations General Assembly as a great opportunity to drive the economic and social transformation of countries and organizations, and as a vehicle to achieve the Sustainable Development Goal #8 – Promote sustained, inclusive, and sustainable economic growth, full and productive employment and decent work for all.
