Tourism Competition 2019

Overcrowded destinations, polluted oceans, climate change, loss of biodiversity and cultural heritage… and the sad thing is: Tourism has its share. We only have this one planet. We need to do something! This is your chance, grab it!

Since 2013, the Youth Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition has reached and inspired millions of users worldwide, has educated hundreds-of thousands of users to learn how to solve problems through entrepreneurship by using free online entrepreneurship courses and has served tens-of thousands of entrepreneurs to connect with each other and spread their projects and ideas.

For this years Competition 2019 we are proud to add a new category to our worldwide competition:

Sustainable Tourism Competition

For this, we teamed up with the ITB Berlin, TravelMassiv and Berlin Travel Festival under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Claudia C. Brözel and are proud to present our first Sustainable Tourism Competition (!

Travelling is a core culture. It opens the eyes and the heart. I believe that we can find solutions for the main problems of our civilised world if we engage people to think off the beaten track. I am happy that we group together in a strong international network to start this initiative and offer of a worldwide platform to work together to sustain our future with a sustainable tourism development.

Prof. Dr. Claudia C. Brözel

As the World’s leading Travel Trade Show® we are aware of tourism’s responsibilities to society as a whole and believe in a tourism development which attempts to sustain human dignity, security and justice for all actors involved.
We want to actively engage in a dialogue with young entrepreneurs in their efforts to create economically, socially and ecologically responsible tourism products and thus we are proud to be a part of this great new project!

Rika Jean-Francois, CSR Commissioner ITB Berlin
