Voting Opens for Best Ideas and Projects of the 2020 Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition

Dear members of the Entrepreneurship Campus,

The public voting and commenting process to find the young and adult entrepreneurs of the 2020 Citizen Entrepreneurship Competition that will contribute to creating a more sustainable world opened on Monday, 6 July. The voting and commenting will continue until the end of October while contestants have the opportunity to submit an idea or project until 30 September.

The online voting and commenting allow the contestants, the Entrepreneurship Campus members, and the audience to enter into a discussion with each other, to spark debates on entrepreneurship and sustainability, and to choose their favorite ideas and projects.

This edition of the competition, which has been successfully held for many years, comes in a challenging time when people of all ages are needed to join the global response for a sustainable recovery from the COVID-19 pandemic. Social innovators and social entrepreneurs are crucial for the post-crisis response. Consider this an opportunity to express solidarity by supporting each other.

How to Vote

Please note that everyone (members and non-members of the Entrepreneurship Campus) can vote. The only requirement is that the voter must have a valid email address.
When promoting your entry, we suggest you explain how the voting process works. If not, it might happen that your voters don’t complete the process.

If you want to cast a vote, you will need to authenticate yourself with a double opt-in email.

You will insert your email, and a verification URL will be sent to you. After clicking the URL, you’ll have 15 minutes to vote for a given idea/project once a day. After this session expires, you can no longer vote, until the upcoming day (24 hours later).

This applies only to the voting process.
You can ask family and friends to help you promote your idea/project on their social media, use your own social media Facebook, Twitter, Reddit, Instagram, or any social platform that is popular where you live. There are many ways to promote your entry for votes, just be sure to avoid spammy or illegitimate votes. Unfair practices and vote fraud would disqualify you from the competition.

How to comment

Like with the voting process, everyone can leave a comment. Non-members of the Campus that want to comment will be asked to provide their email, name, and to verify their email.
Important
Please notice that all the members of the Campus are encouraged to interact with each other to improve ideas and projects. Therefore, you are all invited to share only meaningful comments and suggestions that help other contestants to improve their entries. Short comments will not be posted.
Given that “The number of meaningful comments the entrant’s idea/ project has received from the online Entrepreneurship Campus community” is one of the factors that determine the Personal Activity Indicator” algorithm, please don’t copy and paste the same comment.
Please, do not repeat the same comment in different entries as it is not a fair practice.

Try to motivate and provide valuable suggestions to the ideas/projects’ owners. Keep in mind our etiquette: ask questions and do not judge, encourage dialogue, do not insult or blame.

Good Luck!

The Entrepreneurship Campus Team
