#MEET AgriAI (New Revolution)

This is a short interview we conducted with Amartya Jha the creator of AgriAI (New Revolution). If you like this project and would like to vote for it, click here.

1. Please, tell us a bit about yourself: where are you from and what is your background?

I am Amartya Jha, from traditional and fastest growing economy of the world, India. I am perusing my Bachelors in Technology from Vellor Institute of Technology, Chennai in Electrical and Electronic.

I am young, robust, filled with zest to face the challenges of the world. I don't have years of experience backing me up but have the correct sense and the ability to take the risk for sustainable development.
I received funding from several university and business entities like the University of Cambridge, British Council and TechMahindra to change the lives of the people.

I come from a humble background my parents sacrificed all the pleasures of their lives to bring me up and made me study in the best college of the country. Now it is my turn to render my services not just to my parents but to the entire society because I understand the pain and the grief they go through since I went to the same of having very limited resources.

2. Can you describe your idea or project in two sentences?

AgriAI is a private firm providing Technical, Physiological and Financial aid to the farmers. We regard reaching out to the last farmer by providing technical assistance with our robust skilled manpower.

3. How did you get your idea or concept?

In India, around 12,000 farmers commit suicide every year, a farmer who sees crop as his baby and land as his mother is sacrificing his life so that we can have food on our plates and we are so very selfish that we are not doing anything regarding this. That's why we a group of motivated and inspired people came together to and laid down the foundation of AgriAI.

4. What is unique about your idea/project and how does it benefit mankind?

We recently developed a product which harnesses Water From Air at a very cheap rate and is far better than other mechanisms proposed in past. We are giving this product to the farmers to perform their day to work

• Produces up to 155-300 Liters of Clean, Safe Potable Water in 24 Hours
• Produces Water-Form-Air for as Little as 0.35 INR/L
• Provides the Daily Water Needs for up to 80 People

We are using psychologist Chabot, a revolutionary system tries to mind map the psychological state of the farmers by looking over his Financial, Economical and social behavior. This helps us to predict how much the farmer is vulnerable to committing suicides.

5. Describe yourself as an entrepreneur in one sentence

I turn my liabilities into my asset.

6. How do you deal with people that doubt your abilities/initiatives?

We build immense confidence in ourselves to turn down any negativity around us, Our customer is our God and everything we develop is to suit his needs and desires. we are driven by the motto of serving the best to our customer at an affordable rate.

7. Where does your passion lie?

Social innovations which can transform our lives.

 8. What are you afraid of or what keeps you up at night?

I am not afraid of any particular thing, but there are things that keep me awake at night because I believe that "Dreams are not those that you see at night, dreams are those which don't let you sleep." I dream of the world where all social and economic section of society irrespective of gender, caste , custom , creed enjoy the benefit of Science and Technology and the means by which I can give this to people keeps me awake.

9. According to you, money is a synonym for.....

Expansion.

10. If you could rid the world of three things, what would they be?

The three things that I want of are:

  1. Hunger
  2. Poverty
  3. Nepotism

11. What are the benefits you take from the Entrepreneurship Campus?

Entrepreneurship campus specifically helped us to develop the business acumen in we were lagging behind, the ways to approach the customers, create the product which they need and how to make demand and supply go hand in hand.

12. What do you like more about the Entrepreneurship Campus?

Entrepreneurship campus was way more interactive than we thought it would be, it made us really think about the problems that an entrepreneur faces in his life.

13. Which idea/project do you like most?

The LOUISON MBOMBO's project fascinated me the most where he developed effective mechanisms to prevent malaria.

These interviews are quite interesting as there open my eyes to different ideas that can be adopted and implemented in my own environment as well as collaborating with the owners of the ideas.

Encouraging farmers will actually assist their psychological state. This is laudable. Thank you for sharing campus administrator

I was shocked by the video large number of suicide can be prevented but I think psychology of the farmers should be changed through short training.
Best of luck!
